This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are in the process of making our high school library more of a hub of student activity at our school. We have already introduced many new, engaging activities and new reading materials, and now we are trying to make the library environment more inviting for teens. We currently only have tables for students to sit at, so we'd like to create a corner with comfortable seating that will draw more students in.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve our library environment, you will ultimately help to increase student visits to the library, library circulation, and in turn, student literacy skills.

Our high school is a wonderful community. Our students are kind, respectful, and determined. We would love to be able to provide a fun, comfortable reading area in our library for them.
