This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine a classroom where students are excited to find a comfy spot, curl up with a good book, and get lost in a story. With your support, I hope to bring flexible seating options like bean bags and seat cushions to my classroom, creating a cozy and inviting reading space where students can feel comfortable, focused, and engaged during independent reading and story time.
Right now, my students only have traditional desks and chairs, which can feel rigid and uncomfortable for long periods of learning and reading.
Flexible seating allows students to choose a space that best supports their learning, whether it’s a bean bag for deep focus or a soft cushion for a cozy spot on the carpet. Research shows that comfortable seating helps students stay engaged, increases focus, and fosters a love for reading!
With your generous donation, my students will have a warm and welcoming reading nook that makes books even more exciting. Your support will help foster a love of literacy in young learners and create a space where stories come to life.
