Comforting Our School

Help me give my students some snacks, games, and items to make our classroom more comfortable. Most of us lost everything in the Lahaina fires. Mahalo for helping us!

My Project

The 8th graders I'm teaching now, I taught back in 5th grade when we were online due to Covid 19. We lost a lot of time for content, but mostly for the students to interact and have more social-emotional learning. Now, this year, we're faced with the added challenge of the Lahaina fire that burned down most of our homes and items. I'm trying to make this year as fun, comfortable, and stress free for these students who've lost so much. Snacks to make sure they're not going hungry as their living situations now vary. Games and craft items to let them be creative and build community. Yoga mats to stretch and regulate our nervous systems when we need a "brain break". Mahalo for everything - we really appreciate it.
