Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Flexible and comfortable floor seating will give my students the opportunity to enjoy reading for longer periods of time and stay focus on their work. Some students struggle with maintaining focus and staying engaged due to discomfort. Students will have the opportunity to choose where they would like to read and work as these seats can be placed anywhere in the classroom.
Students will be more engaged and focused on their work while using comfortable floor seating.
The floor seating will also be use during rotations when I am teaching small groups, project groups and other learning activities. A more comfortable classroom supports a positive and productive learning environment. Floor seating will accommodate different seating preferences and needs, making our classroom more inclusive.
