My Project

Every day I see small groups in both math and literacy however, I do not have enough kid friendly chairs at my back table for each child to sit. When students meet with me in small groups I have to help students carry their chairs from their desks over to my table where we meet. My biggest learning group I meet with is a group of six. It takes some substantial time to get the six chairs over to my table for the small learning group to start. If I had wobble stools, they would stay at my back table so when it is time for a small learning group to start, the students would simply just come to their small group without having to move chairs. The time used to get chairs situated would be put into more time learning and working with students.

I have used wobble stools with students in the past and have had positive experiences with them.

Wobble stools allow students to move safely. Wobble stools help my students who have some struggle sitting still. If I had this set of wobble stools for my small groups, my students and I would not have to hassle with getting chairs over to the table each time. Having these wobble stools would also help students get some of their wiggles out safely. If I were to be gifted these stools I would be spending more time working with students in small groups, and less time carrying chairs over to my table.
