My Students
My students are faced with many challenges in and out of school. My students are so full of life and are eager to learn everyday. My students love to be actively engaged in their learning. It helps them learn each and everyday.
I work in a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch everyday.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
My students will use the bean bags and pillows in the classroom during independent reading time. With these bean bags they will be able to read independently around the room in comfort. Each week different students will be assigned "bean bag privileges" which will allow for all students to get an equal turn using the bean bags in the classroom.
The donation of these bean bags and pillows will help make a difference in my students' lives by helping them to enjoy reading.
Sometimes these students don't get to take time out at home and get comfortable and read, but in my classroom I want to give them that opportunity. I want this classroom to feel comfortable to them and give them a place where they can do what they love to do.
