My Students

I teach at a Title I school. Some of my students face a multitude of challenges in their lives, but all of them come to school with a desire to learn. They are curious and enthusiastic learners with a wide range of interests.

I want to provide my students with a comfortable, welcoming classroom filled with interesting books and materials that encourage learning.

Despite challenging circumstances, these students come to school every day ready to do their best and I want them to have classroom materials that help them in that effort.

My Project

We've worked hard to build up our classroom library from scratch. Now that we have a good start on our book collection, I'd like to make the area a comfortable place to read.

A cozy rug and a variety of different seating options will create an inviting area for my students to enjoy the pleasures of reading.

Whether they are reading individually or in their reading groups, they can have comfortable seats and a pleasant environment in which to enjoy and discuss their books. These seating options will help to make our classroom library the room's focal point for the students.
