Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With your help, my students can feel comfortable while in the counseling office, so that they can take a reading break or express themselves and regulate their emotions to more quickly return to class.

Having a place to sit other than a traditional school chair can help students step out of the classroom and feel calmer and safer in the counseling office.

This couch will be the perfect space when kids need to take a break to refocus or need to chat about a struggle they may be having, while working on their social emotional wellbeing. With the addition of more books to the counseling office, students will be able to help themselves reregulate and feel grounded more quickly.

Furniture and décor can have such an amazing unconscious impact on student success. The addition of a couch and reading area will help my students feel calm more quickly. Thank you for your help.
