Comfortable Library Seating: Ready, Set, Read!

My students need a reading bench and Carry Me Cushions in the library, so they can sit and read for a sustained amount of time. We also need a label maker to label the library shelves.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students are faced with challenges but come school each and every day ready to learn and experience new ideas. My students are loving, caring, and value their relationship with their teachers and our school. It is important to have the ability to provide as many resources as I can, because at home most students do not have that support or materials. My students are readers, researchers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists, who are on the road to success but need the resources to help get there!

My students know that our school is a place where everyone is cared about, and they need to work hard.

It is my goal this year to give students a place where they can shine, enjoy reading and do their absolute best work!

My Project

We love reading throughout the room as we learn. It is more inviting and engaging to have comfortable seating while we read.

My students need a reading bench and floor cushions while they enjoy reading.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' love of reading. We need our own space to comfortably sit in the library. We do so many activities on the floor, and we places for students to sit. Having a label maker will allow us to label the library shelves to more easily find books on the shelves. We also need bookends to organize our books.
