I am a co-teacher in a Pre-K 4 ICT Class. Our students are very special to us! They love coming to school and we love seeing their smiling faces running up to hug us when they get here. The students that enter the Pre-k program have many opportunities to learn and thrive. These energetic preschoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.
My Project
In our centers-based classroom students have choice of activities to stay engaged. We need a new writing center that will allow for all materials to be within reach. Kids will be able to have an array of writing supplies that interest them and allow them to stay engaged and be independent through this writing center. This writing center will have the choices within reach in an organized manner.
As we work to make our Pre-K classroom a place where kids have fun and can be independent, students need spaces and furniture that allow them to do so.
The Big Book Easel will make a difference in Pre-K students' learning because students will be able to easily see the big books that they love to read. With this easel, carpet time will be even more magical for the students and it will help keep them engaged in the lesson. The reading lesson will be enriched by the easel because it will give the students a clear vision of the book. Overall, this project will help create a love for reading among our students.
We need 5 more Cots. Children in Pre-K need a solid amount of rest time to calm their bodies and minds as a break throughout their very busy days at school. These cots will be more sturdy and comfortable to help students take better naps while at school. This will allow them to get much-needed rest so they can be ready to learn as best as possible throughout the other parts of their school day.
