My students are hardworking students who want to make a change in our world. These students are always looking to make the school and community a better place. As their teacher, we will read a book that shows kindness with a project or an idea and our students instantly want to apply the projects in our school or community. They have raised money for animals in need, children's hospice, the food shelf, and families in need in our community. They are so special and I want to help them have a classroom that feels like home to them.
My Project
These items will help with flexible seating and will make our classroom a welcoming and calm environment where all students feel safe. Having a safe environment that makes kids feel welcome and as if they are in a home setting, helps them to take risks and be willing to try new things. Having students feel comfortable is essential to their learning. Mental health and wellness is important and creating an environment for students where they have safe places to learn and collaborate as well as having tools such as oils and lamps to help the room feel calm and safe will help students learn and grow to their full potential.
