My students come from a low income/high poverty area. Some have little support at home, so I am doing my best to educate them. I have a lot of English Language Learners. Some of them speak Spanish, Russian, or Farsi. I work at a Title I school and have 28 students in my classroom. My students are hard workers and enjoy being at school. For some, it is a struggle to learn, so I am trying different teaching strategies to help them succeed.
We are lucky to have received Chrome Books for our classroom.
Unfortunately, the headphones that we are using are old.
My students are required to spend 45 minutes on a reading program and 45 minutes on a math program each week. The headphones that I was given hurt their ears and are tight on their heads. With them bring uncomfortable, they aren't able to stay focused. Many take them off and come up to tell me that their ears hurt.
New headphones will help them stay focused and get them through their lessons to make them successful in reading and mathematics. Every little help they can get will make them progress in reading and math.
