Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I'm teaching 7th and 8th grade math. By the end of the year, I want all of my students to be achieving at or above grade level and to have grown to be more confident, self-motivated learners.
I work in a small school in a large urban district, and as a result, we're often lacking resources.
My students work hard every day and deserve to have the resources they need to learn best. I'm requesting a set of chairs for my classroom because the chairs we currently have are old and not very comfortable. Due to them being a little too small for older students, many of the metal legs are bent and the chairs sit back uncomfortably. My students spend a lot of their day sitting in chairs at their tables and I would like them to be comfortable so that they can focus and do their best.
