This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Working with recent arrivals it is important to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for them. Each year around this time our school starts to see an influx of new students from all around the world. Help me give my students flexible seating to sit and speak about their day, their journey, or their feelings about this new place they call home.

By giving these students the space they need to share their worries and day to day problems I can help them get the support they need to have a successful end of the school year. Students will be welcome to come by and chat and they'll know they always have a welcoming and safe environment awaiting them.
