Comfortable Climate Classroom

My Project

My students live in a rural community. My school is 70% free and reduced lunch. I teach over 400 students of fourth and fifth graders. My classroom has a tile floor. My students are eager and excited to learn! So, it gets rather loud while we are working on our STEAM projects.

My students have requested an area rug to cover the tile flooring in order to cut down on the level of noise.

I have had many students who have shared with me their discomfort with the noise level, so I hope to be able to solve this problem with an area rug. It will also give us comfortable seating for circle music games and activities that we play on the floor.
