This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project's goal is to create a classroom that is welcoming to my students. I will be receiving incoming 6th graders who will be starting their first year in middle school, which can be a very stressful time during their youth.

I plan on creating a calm corner with a comfortable rug and pillows where students can relax, while still participating in class.

I will be providing my students with fidget toys to help them concentrate in class, along with notebooks so they aren't stressed about acquiring materials for class.
