Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have to sit on the carpet for all of their instruction. The floor is a cold hard concrete floor with a thin carpet on it. If we had a cushioned seat for everyone, they would be able to focus on their studies with me much better. My students deserve to be comfortable while they learn.
My 38 preschool students are a neat bunch of kiddos.
I have 18 in the morning group full of energy and ready to learn and play. I have 20 in the afternoon with their own creative personalities. Our favorite times together on the carpet are when we play new and creative games, dance together, and work on our skills to hear and manipulate words. Their favorite time during Sounds Time is when we karate chop words in half! You should hear how loudly they can say "A-PPLE!" as they chop the air.
