My Students

My students are excited to be back in the classroom this year! They love to move around, read, laugh, and be silly with me. A large portion of my class are English Language Learners. They face many challenges, and it is my job to give them a safe environment for learning.

They are thoughtful, kind, creative, and full of questions.

They absolutely love challenges and projects that allow them to work as a group and think outside the box.

My Project

These floor pillows will help students be comfortable will learning while being social distancing. Since the pandemic teachers have had to find creative ways to teach whole group and get students close to the board. I no longer can bring my whole class to our carpet by the board. I believe my students would love to have these pillows and would help them be comfortable and excited about learning near the carpet.

With these pillows students who can not sit at the carpet can still join closer and sit on the floor.

Without these pillows students would have to sit on the tile or at their seat. It is important for my first graders to be engaged and close to the board for our lessons.
