My Project
At my school, there is a moisture problem. All classrooms are provided a dehumidifier with pumping hoses drilled through their window for constant draining throughout the day and night. However, my speech room is in an anterior room in the building without a window to allow continuous drainage; therefore, my room collects extra moisture, making it feel musty, cold, and damp.
A classroom dehumidifier will help reduce excess moisture, making the classroom more physically comfortable, as well as safeguard against potential mold.
Furthermore, since I have an anterior room, I am unable to control the room's temperature or open a window to help warm the room. The temperature is very cold, and space heaters are not allowed due to fire safety. The magnetic vent covers will allow me to cover the vents in a safe way to help manage the temperature in the room. The children can be in a physically comfortable environment to learn and practice their skills.
