Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

COVID-19 has closed many doors to families feeling safe enough to have their students play safely or restricted student relationships with quarantining. Many of these students are having their first experience being around other children ever or the first time in many years. The early years of learning are the most critical years for brain development, relationship building, and emotional learning.

Though they may be little, my preschool students crave a safe, comfortable space to learn and grow - a home away from home.

These supplies will aid in providing students with a safe space to express themselves, develop, and be excited to engage in play-based learning and creative thinking. Specifically, they will be able to update the wooden play kitchen outside with a plastic one that will hold up better with the weather. We will also be able to add many of the items to our pet study and learn more about how to take care of other living things around us.
