Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title I school with a diverse population of students. The large majority of my students come from low income families. Despite the many challenges my students face on a daily basis, they have a strong desire to learn, grow, and be the best they can be.

It is my greatest passion and calling to help students be kind and loving and to develop a love of learning and reading.

Once you get kids excited about learning, you give them a lifelong gift. I teach skills that will last a lifetime like hard work and critical thinking.

My school encourages a growth mindset and strives to have a strong community where everyone feels welcomed. I want to support my students in their learning by providing a more comfortable and inviting classroom.

My Project

It is very difficult for students to sit in uncomfortable chairs and have maximum learning all day long. The wobble stools and other flexible seating options will provide my students with the opportunity to be more comfortable in the classroom.

Flexible seating provides students the best individualized learning environment for the greatest results.

I have used desks and chairs for 20 years and now after extensive research, I am so excited to provide my students with different options to make our classroom a more comfortable and inviting space. Classrooms are changing and I am looking forward to making this change to help my students succeed in the twenty first century.
