My Project

My students are receiving services based on their IEP's in a Focus Room Special Education model in the central district at the local public middle school. I am new this year, and don't have some basic organizational items listed here. In addition, my students require specially designed instruction in the least restrictive learning environment at four different grade levels and a myriad of different cultures and disabilities, simultaneously. Games, such as Twister and Uno, seem to be a great environment for us to practice SEL skills, as well as language skills. My students, teenagers, are mostly tired of drills and the lower-level ELA skills they strive for daily. The games make practicing this same skills fun!
