My Students
My Spanish and Pathways to Success students live in a diverse, rural community. Many are native/heritage Spanish speakers who are the first in their family to be on track to graduate from high school and succeed in college.
Many of my students go directly from school to part-time jobs to help their families.
I need my classroom to be a comfortable learning sanctuary for them!
My students have amazing stories of overcoming obstacles and beating the odds, whether it be poverty, language barriers, or something else. I want to see them triumph in their language acquisition and scholarship success goals so they are able to give back to others in the future.
My Project
Imagine with me that moment when it's time to focus, you sit down, and realize that the chair is so comfortable and supportive that you can't help but focus and get work done? My students don't have this experience.
My students need more than hard plastic chairs from the 1970s.
They need reliable rolling chairs that promote comfort and focus!
I have the most amazing students. They are respectful of the materials in our classroom and they are eager to learn! We've worked hard to incorporate flexible seating into our classroom; however, the few rolling chairs I have available, I purchased second-hand, and they are literally falling apart. My students deserve an upgrade. Please help support our project for comfort, focus, and mobility!
