I am an art teacher in Oakland, where our students have shown incredible resilience through some recent tough times within our school community. To support their well-being this coming year, I aim to create a "Comfort Corner" in our art classroom. This space will provide a place for students to take a break, enjoy a cup of tea, and find peace and privacy when needed.

The Comfort Corner will feature cozy seating, a plush blanket, relaxing books, and a short partition wall. Additionally, this project will enable me to offer essential health and hygiene items, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, bandaids, deodorant wipes, menstrual products, hand sanitizer, and tissues.
