Comfort, Collaboration, and Creativity with Active Centers
My students need a comfortable, flexible, cooperative area (rug) to support their creative, collaborative skills building on their social emotional learning. These active games and activities will increase their letter and number knowledge.
This will be my first year teaching kindergarten. As students embark on their first year of learning, I want the classroom to be a special place, where they can work and learn together. Enhancing their creativity in a safe learning environment, where children come first. I want all of my students to know that I care about and value them as learners within a larger learning community. I feel so fortunate to be able to come back to the classroom after serving as a principal for the last 12 years.
These materials will allow my students to work together in an active, hands-on, minds-on environment in the classroom. My kindergarten students will need these letter and math activities that focus on counting, letter and number recognition, sorting, sequencing and building sounds and words. My students will have access to these activities throughout the learning day. They will develop interpersonal skills by working together, enhance problem-solving, and most importantly they will develop a love for learning in Kindergarten! Your generous donation to our project will improve our kindergarten classroom by helping our children work and learn together, in a comfortable environment.
