My Project

Hi, I am a first-year teacher entering an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)/Special Needs classroom for 5th and 6th graders. Our classroom is self-contained, meaning my scholars spend most of their day in one room. Because of this, it is most important to have a space that is calm, flexible, and adapted to the needs of the scholar that supports their learning, emotional regulation, and positive behaviors.

We are in dire need of supplies to start the school year off strong with incentives to reward participation and growth, sensory tools to assist my scholars with regulating themselves and refocusing, and flexible seating allows my scholars to be engaged and comfortable within the space.

My scholars are low-income, BIPOC, and have different needs. They shine the brightest even in a gloomy classroom, where they bring joy to each other.
