Help me give my students the comfortable space needed to work collaboratively with their peers in small groups. Kids today learn so differently, and this would be a great way to help them stay engaged while working together.

My Project
Teaching first graders is so rewarding in many ways! I love that my students are at an age where they are eager to learn. Being that this is first grade, it is crucial to have as much engagement, participation, and collaboration going on all day. Students today learn so differently than they did five years ago. Kids today need so much more flexibility, and having a small table like this takes them away from the traditional desk and chairs. This seems fun for them to sit somewhere out of the ordinary. For kids, fun and learning are the best combination. They look forward to getting out of their seats. My students would see this table as a fun spot to go to where they could work amongst each other. I plan to use this table for centers where students can work collaboratively in small groups.
