When I received the notification that our project had been funded, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement, not only for myself but especially for my students. Every day, I see how much of a difference your kindness is making in our classroom, and I want you to know how deeply we appreciate your gift.\r\n\r\nThe books you provided are already bringing so much joy to my students. Many of them come from homes where access to books is limited, and to watch their eyes light up when they get to pick out something new to read is truly priceless. You didn't just give us books, you gave my students the opportunity to fall in love with reading, to explore new worlds, and to see themselves in the stories they hold in their hands.\r\n\r\nThe P.E. equipment you made possible has also transformed the way we approach physical activity in our school day. For many of my students, P.E. is their favorite subject because it gives them a chance to move, release energy, and build confidence in themselves. Before your gift, our resources were very limited. Now, with the new equipment, my students are able to practice teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits while having fun. The laughter, energy, and determination I see on their faces each time we use the equipment is something I wish you could witness in person. \r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies you donated, like glue sticks and dry erase markers, might seem small compared to books and sports equipment, but I promise they are essential tools that help learning come alive. Every day, my students use these supplies during group projects, hands-on activities, and lessons at the whiteboard. Having fresh markers that actually write clearly or glue sticks that don't dry out makes a big difference in how smoothly our classroom runs. These supplies make them feel prepared and valued, which is a gift in itself.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my entire class, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've given us resources that will continue to make an impact long after this school year, and I am so grateful that you chose to support us. Please know that your kindness has touched not only our classroom but also the future of each child within it.","fullyFundedDate":1750437211516,"projectUrl":"project/support-a-first-year-teachers-vision-fo/9351119/","projectTitle":"Support a First-Year Teacher's Vision for Student Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ayala","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10034159"},{"teacherId":9922928,"projectId":9111961,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations that provided our classroom with a laminator and printer. These tools have made such a big difference in helping us create materials quickly and efficiently whenever students need them. The color printer has been especially exciting for my students—they love seeing their work and classroom resources come to life in bright, vibrant colors!\r\n\r\nThe laminator and Velcro have been game-changers in our classroom. With these tools, we've been able to create durable visual schedules, token boards, and learning materials that my students can use every day without fear of them ripping or falling apart. The Velcro helps us easily put items together, making resources more interactive and accessible. My students even enjoy helping with the laminating process, which gives them a sense of ownership and pride. Because of your kindness, my students now have engaging and long-lasting tools that support their learning and independence, and for that, we are truly grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1746786523471,"projectUrl":"project/essential-resources-to-support-and-enga/9111961/","projectTitle":"\"Essential Resources to Support and Engage Students in Moderate/Severe Classroom\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9922928_orig.jpg?crop=1735,1735,x0,y133&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755043051925","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9922928"},{"teacherId":9922928,"projectId":9111934,"letterContent":"The generous donations to our project have made such a meaningful impact on my students. The sensory room items have created a space where students can feel calm, safe, and engaged. The addition of busy boards, bean bag chairs, and other sensory tools has helped them regulate their emotions, focus better, and find joy in learning. The room has truly been transformed into a place where students can recharge and return to class feeling ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when the items arrived, and their smiles showed just how much these resources mean to them. They especially love spending time on the bean bag chair and exploring the busy boards. For many of my students, this sensory room has become their favorite part of the day, giving them a space that supports their needs and helps them thrive. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of donors, and we are so grateful for the positive difference it has made in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746786209135,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-learning-with-sensory-support/9111934/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Learning With Sensory Support for Students With Autism\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9922928_orig.jpg?crop=1735,1735,x0,y133&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755043051925","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9922928"},{"teacherId":8065247,"projectId":9090195,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for the generous donation of snacks to our school. As a school counselor in the elementary school system, I've seen firsthand the meaningful impact these resources have had on our students.\r\n\r\nMany of our children come to school hungry—some haven't had breakfast, while others had to leave home in a rush because their parents needed to get to work. Hunger doesn't just affect their physical well-being; it directly impacts their ability to focus, stay present, and engage in class. Thanks to your donation, students now know that if they missed a meal, they can stop by my office for a snack. This small gesture makes a big difference in their day.\r\n\r\nHaving snacks readily available has also enhanced the atmosphere in our counseling office. Often, I work with students who are shy or hesitant to open up. It takes time to build trust, and something as simple as offering a snack has helped break down those initial walls. Even when they're not ready to talk, sitting together over a snack allows us to connect and helps them feel safe and supported.\r\n\r\nWhen I first introduced the snacks, the students were thrilled. They were especially grateful when I shared that the items were donated. Before this, they would occasionally ask if I had anything to eat, and now they know there's a place they can turn to. It has even motivated some of them to come to school with more enthusiasm and a greater sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity. Your support has truly made a difference in the lives of our students and helped create a more nurturing and supportive school environment.","fullyFundedDate":1739129304237,"projectUrl":"project/feeding-our-future-generation/9090195/","projectTitle":"Feeding Our Future Generation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Spence","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8065247_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754590758987","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8065247"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_39622","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":828,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":93,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"24.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":39622,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Myron D Witter Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Myron D Witter Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/brawley-elementary-school-district/myron-d-witter-elementary-school/39622"}
