Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year in the fall, there is a high need for winter gear. I want to work to get coats now so I am more prepared before winter hits. We live in Nebraska, where the temperatures fluctuate, and there can be negative temperatures for days. Every year, I buy coats for kids and would love some help. Almost all of the students at the school are low-income, and we also have an influx of students from other countries who are unprepared for the winter and don't always have transportation. We are a diverse Title I building.

Many of the students walk to school, and I want to be able to give them the things that they need to stay comfortable and warm on their walk.

Gloves, jackets, sweatpants, and hats will make such a difference.
