My Project

Number lines are going to be useful for all students as they struggle with conceptualizing negative numbers. Having a physical depiction of a number line that they can look at will help them solidify the steps they need to take to find the correct answer.

Providing more lighting options will allow us to have dimmer lights throughout the day, which will help alleviate sensory overload for students with autism.

Novelty style lamps also provide a soothing effect that will help students that are feeling overwhelmed calm down and de-escalate, a skill needed if they are to learn anything in the classroom setting.

Other basic supplies listed are all needed to keep my classroom running throughout the year. Allergies and the plethora of weather changes in Oklahoma mean that face tissues are always in high demand. Pencils magically grow legs and turn into disappearing rabbits.
