My Students

My students are amazing. They come to me in the beginning of the year with so much to give. The diversity and blend of cultures is always exciting and we learn so much from each other. We develop a strong community in our classroom. We are a city district and we are very limited with resources. Many of my students have troubled home lives and many come from other countries and are trying to learn the language. My students just want a room to feel safe and cared for. And they are always eager to learn.

My Project

My students will benefit from using the bean bag chairs, floor pillows and large rug as they will provide a comfortable at home feeling within our classroom. Providing a cozy corner of the room will give students the opportunity to sit in comfort and read, work, relax and collaborate together on assignments.

These seating options will provide choices for students so that they can be the best they can be in the classroom.

I want my students to feel safe, comfortable and cared for. We are an urban district therefore we have very limited resources. My students have limited resources. I want them to enter their room each day excited to be there and feel the coziness and comfort. This will help foster learning and their success!
