My Project

By offering a diverse selection of flexible seating options such as wobble stools, standing/lap tables, floor cushions, and chair bands, my goal is to boost student engagement by allowing them to choose seats that align with their learning preferences, foster collaboration and communication with peers, and encourage movement and dialogue to improve behavior and attentiveness. Currently, I permit students to utilize cozy chairs in our classroom library, work on the floor with clipboards, and sit at the back table. The aim of this project is to create a student-centered learning environment that nurtures a sense of belonging and effectively supports my students' varied learning needs beyond what is currently available.

My 5th-grade students exhibit exceptional creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a talent for collaborative work in a compassionate and meaningful manner.

Offering them the daily opportunity to select their preferred seating arrangement will not only enhance their learning experience but also make them feel valued and empowered.

In conclusion, the introduction of flexible seating in our classroom, made possible by your generous support, will not only reshape the physical layout but also revolutionize the learning journey for each student. By embracing flexibility and choice in seating arrangements, we are fostering a nurturing environment that appreciates individual diversities, promotes collaboration, and empowers students to take charge of their learning.
