My Project
Hello! My name is Ms. Reyes, and I’m the school social worker at THS in NYC. Every day, I have the privilege of supporting a diverse group of students, many of whom face significant challenges outside the classroom. Among them are students who are experiencing homelessness, and my role is to ensure they have the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
In my efforts to support these resilient young people, I am contacting you for assistance.
We’re in need of essential supplies to create a welcoming and supportive environment for our students. Your generous donations will help provide:
Snacks: Many of our students struggle with food insecurity. Having access to healthy snacks can make a big difference in their concentration and overall well-being throughout the day.
Hygiene Items: Basic hygiene products are crucial for maintaining self-esteem and personal health. Providing items such as toiletries and sanitary products ensures that our students can attend school feeling fresh and confident.
Comfortable Seating: A cozy, inviting space where students can relax and feel secure can greatly impact their emotional and mental well-being. Comfortable seating will provide them with a place to unwind and focus on their learning.
Essential Office Supplies: From notebooks and pens to folders, having the right supplies helps students stay organized and engaged in their studies.
iPad: Will be a valuable tool in a counseling, It allows me to share digital resources, like educational videos, relaxation techniques, or guided meditations and mental health apps which can be used to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
