Comfort and Care for Students With Disabilities

My Project

The materials in my project will restock the comfort closet in Miss Dell's Resource room. The products of feminine resources, deodorant, briefs, and body wipes will aid students to feel clean, comfortable, and their best. The timers will help students with enuresis ensure they spending adequate time in the bathroom while also providing a reminder to go back to class. Lastly, the thermometers are to guarantee the safety and wellness of the students during the cold and flu season. The resources in the comfort closet will housed in the resource room, and welcome to students who need it.

The goal of the comfort closet is to allow any student that needs these items to access to them without embarrassment or judgement.

The students utilizing these resources have various disabilities, mostly autism, and receive exceptional children's services. Many of the students are females and need assistance with learning about their cycle and need extra resources. Additionally, a student with enuresis and encopresis requires extra briefs throughout the day to ensure cleanliness.
