This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you remember celebrating Valentine’s Day at school? Each year, I share the history of Saint Valentine with my fifth graders, they create their own mailboxes, and we exchange cards on Valentine’s Day.
Kindness to others is something we practice daily, and this year we began writing letters of gratitude to everyone who helps to make our school a great place to learn.
Our Comets wish to continue showing gratitude by creating Valentine Grams this year. I am requesting books so that we may learn about the history of Saint Valentine, and paper so that we may send Valentine Grams to additional people on our campus. Additionally, I am requesting paper bags so students may create mailboxes for our class Valentine’s Day card exchange, and lip balm and other surprises to add to their bags.
