it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love interacting with the younger students at our school. I would like to provide an opportunity for my fifth-grade students to host Buddy Reading events. We will invite the Kindergarten students at our school to come into our classroom for a time when they can engage in reading with a fifth-grade student.
Our classroom does not have a lot of extra seating available, so these stools will be an inviting place for our kindergarten buddies to sit while they are in our classroom participating in literacy activities led by the older students.
My fifth-grade students will be able to read aloud and along with these young readers. They will be able to have discussions about what they read and do shared writing activities to promote literacy.
