Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Circus Club is an afterschool club for students K-5 where students are introduced to Circus skills such as face-painting, balloon twisting, improv and joke telling, physical comedy, puppetry, ventriloquism, magic, clown face and clown costume.
Circus Club is a creative experience using workshops where kids can learn the very skills they witness on stage, gain confidence, stay healthy, use teamwork and improve fine motor and gross skills in the most FUN way possible!
Circus Club is positive and supportive as students are learning and practicing these new skills at their own level. By having students from grades Kindergarten to Grade 5, all students are eligible to be in the club including younger and older siblings - all working together to learn and practice their new skills. This is our second semester running the club with only donated materials as this is for a Title 1 school.
As a professional clown, I have the experience to teach the skills and many of the materials needed to begin the club, but with 30-40 students joining each semester, the consumable materials (that I pay for myself) are quickly running out.
Please help us continue to bring this very popular club to students who greatly appreciate the opportunity to help make the world a happier place!
