This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 9- 12 graders Spanish 2,3,4 and 5. My students love learning and being engaged. They are tremendously well-rounded individuals who enjoy learning about various communities and cultures. They are very hands-on and enjoy learning new things enthusiastically.
My students are very inquisitive and have a growth mindset.
The students are of varying abilities and would benefit from all the educational opportunities available. My students are fascinated by learning a new language and very much enjoy learning about the differences between Spanish and English. They look forward to increasing their knowledge of the Spanish language and applying what they are learning to the real world.
My Project
Please help us obtain nice masks to wear in class. This is our first week back to school and I have noticed some students would benefit from having a reusable mask. If we could get masks and lead pencils as prizes/ we could motivate more students to come to school prepared, to come to school every day, to participate and engage on a regular basis. Being that the majority of students have not stepped foot in a classroom in over a year it is important for us as teacher to motivate and challenge students to participate and improve their skills. It is also important for students and staff to build positive relationships.
