Our school is a Title one school and most students come from a low economic status.
I currently have 24 students in my 1st grade class. They are so apt detail, they are learning how to stay organized, and can follow one step rules. We are on our way to learning so much more throughout the school year!
My Project
Students will be using the requested classroom carpet for Reading, Math, Writing, Social Studies, and Science during whole group and small group instruction. With this rug they will be able to sit in organized spaces, attend to personal space, learn colors, and work within certain areas. They will get involved in work spaces within groups and individually.
My students will be able to attend to personal space and will use social skills to learn how to work with others.
This will help improve student attention skills and teach students to work with others in a small group. By learning social skills, it will not only help with their current social skills but it will help with future social skills as well.
