My Students

My students are truly my FIREWORKS!!! I call them that because I believe they can achieve anything they dream as long as they ignite their light and let it shine! My third graders love to learn especially when using STEM within the classroom. They are very definitely 21st century learners and use 21st century skills to solve their problems and complete their tasks. They are able to Think Critically, Collaborate, Communicate, and be Creative in finding solutions.

My Fireworks (students) will launch us well into the 21st century!

They are learning how to work together through STEM activities that are incorporated throughout all content areas. Each of them are becoming multi-solution finders in that they will offer several options to solve a problem. Then they are able to collaboratively find a solution.

My Project

My students will use the Makey Makey medium to enrich their understanding of core content areas. Specifically they can create animation to go along with their unique stories. They will engineer using everyday products to solve real world problems. We do this weekly in our current STEM lessons and this will bring our skills to a new level.

Come Makey Makey Stem with us will provide unique opportunities to these 75 students.

I look forward to facilitating their exploration of science, literacy, math, and other core content areas. This tool will give them the opportunity to express themselves and their ideas through a 21st century medium.
