Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like my students to be able to come in and make themselves a warm drink stay stay warm during the long cold winters in NYC.

A new coffee maker and tea kettle will come a long way in my classroom.

Many of my students come in during lunchtime to spend time with their peers and teachers. These items will allow me to provide them a warm treat, so they can feel cared for and welcomed in our classroom.

Lunchtime with students provides an opportunity for students to interact with peers who share similar interests outside of the classroom environment, fostering friendships and a sense of belonging. Also during this time, students can take a break from academic studies. By participating in enjoyable activities during lunchtime students can release stress and promote their overall well-being. Engaging in activities they love can recharge students for the remainder of the school day. Therefore, adding these items to my class will go beyond keeping my students warm!
