Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project has been something that I have wanted to transition to from traditional rows that were required during COVID. Research shows that students that who "chose their seat" in a classroom are more likely to take responsibly for their own learning goals and achievement. I want to create a safe environment where students can take risks in their learning while also finding comfort to take challenges.
Flexible seating will enable my children to work alongside different levels of learners monthly while challenging themselves to be adaptive and one they feel safe coming to - just as they are.
This project will impact students of an ethnically diverse population and whom over 70 percent are on free or reduced lunch.
