March, April, and May are difficult for any student. The difficulty is intensified for senior students who are so close to the culmination of their 13 years of academic success. Trying to motivate the seniors to show up and stay awake has been challenging and I have spent money buying snacks, breakfast, caffeine, and even a coffee maker for my classroom.
This year I am teaching predominantly 12th-grade students and I can attest that senioritis is real and alive.
