My students need colorful card stock to focus their learning. This also allows me to include the parents in supportive activities. We also need glue sticks, whiteboard erasers and pencils.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This is a bright and active group of five- and six-year-old children. They love to create and tell stories. They love to read and be read to. They are quickly learning to work together which is a vital skill in our world. My children work in small groups and independently throughout the day.
We grow in all areas by practicing and playing together.
Writing throughout the day in science, social studies, math, and even in art helps us in so many ways. We get noisy, but we learn so much together. We need supplies to grow as readers, writers, and illustrators. We need to show the colors of our ideas. There is so much to learn.
My Project
We are requesting lots of colorful card stock. This magical paper transforms into rhyming memory games, sight word flash cards, word building activities and math fact flash cards. The colors focus us and help us stay organized.
Card stock lets us take home supportive games.
It lets our parents “play” too which helps us grow faster.
We are also asking for primary pencils. These are fatter and help our hands learn to grasp writing instruments correctly. The glue sticks are a must for so much learning we need to do. We have included dry erase erasers to prevent the use of paper towels, since we use dry erase boards daily.
