My Project

I am reaching out to request "Color by Sight Word" coloring books for my first-grade classroom. These resources are an excellent way to combine two essential areas of early childhood education: literacy development and fine motor skill growth. In first grade, students are learning to recognize and read high-frequency sight words, which are critical for building reading fluency and comprehension. At the same time, they are still developing the fine motor control needed for writing, and coloring provides an enjoyable and effective way to strengthen those muscles.

"Color by Sight Word" activities engage students by allowing them to color pictures based on the sight words they identify, making learning interactive and fun.

This method not only helps reinforce word recognition but also encourages focus, attention to detail, and independent learning. Having access to these books would be incredibly beneficial for my students, as it would support their growth in both reading and writing in a way that feels more like play than work. Any support in helping me bring these materials into our classroom would be deeply appreciated and would have a lasting impact on my students’ educational journey.
