This school is a middle city school with many different economic and cultural backgrounds. My students are asked to provide supplies which might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.
My Project
My students take a lot of notes. I mean like every class they have to use their interactive notebooks to either write vocabulary or to use them to help them decipher hard problems. These notebooks are boring and colorless... until now. I want to be able to provide table sets of fine point color markers so they can incorporate colors into their notes. They love using my colorful notes and it makes them feel much more creative and artistic. I just want them to love math!
There is so much art in Math, it just takes a good eye and some patience to teach it.
I am asking for colored ink for my printer so students who were absent and missed the notes can take a copy of them and glue them into their notebooks. I am also asking for colored highlighters so they can make their worksheets more colorful.
