it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in history with the integration of the arts. Education is changing every single day as we enhance through technology and current events. Just as equally evolving are the interests of my students in our ever changing society. Students in my classroom like to explore history through the lens of marginalized groups and lesser talked about cultures. History can be overwhelming, but using creative lessons and making history more accessible, all students can learn and become better citizens.
We will create one pager projects that will show creativity using coloring utensils and print out images for our Magazine Project using ink cartridges.
This project puts students in the viewpoint of a journalist during the Gilded Age. They are to write articles, create advertisements, and draft a political cartoon. These magazines will be printed in color and passed around for peer review. A wax warmer will also be used to create a pleasing atmosphere during work time.
