My Project

How will the specific items you’re requesting make a difference in their learning?

The art supplies, including Sharpie Brush Twin Markers, cardstock, glue sticks, and a paper trimmer, will provide students with the tools needed to create calming, expressive art that encourages emotional regulation and self-expression.

These materials will help students engage in creative activities that promote Social Emotional Learning (SEL) by allowing them to visualize and manage their emotions. The positive wristbands, soothing sounds of a tabletop waterfall fountain, and 3-D sand motion display will further enhance the calming environment, giving students a safe space to express their feelings and develop emotional awareness.

What are your goals for this project?

The goal of this project is to foster emotional growth and creative expression in my students by providing them with essential materials for art activities that support SEL. I aim to create an environment where students can explore their emotions, manage stress, and express themselves in healthy ways through art. These activities will not only help them build emotional resilience but also strengthen their ability to communicate and problem-solve creatively throughout the year.

What makes your students special?

My students are a diverse group with unique needs, strengths, and challenges. They come from various backgrounds and are learning to navigate their emotions while engaging in a variety of social and academic experiences. These students have a deep desire to connect with their peers, build self-confidence, and explore their creativity. The opportunity to express themselves through art will allow them to process and understand their emotions while fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment.
