My Students

I teach an amazing group of kindergartners. They have a joy for learning and an excitement for school. They attend a K-4, Title I school in a small town. My students come from diverse, bilingual backgrounds and families that want the best for their kids.

My kids love to explore with math, science, technology, and language arts.

They enjoy hands-on activities that make learning fun and engaging. They like to take ownership of their work and help each other in their learning adventure.

My Project

One of the many kindergarten standards that we strive to master is expressing ourselves through writing. In an attempt to keep my kindergarten kids actively engaged, I like to give them multiple writing tools. Colorful markers and printing ink are tools that excite my kids to express themselves. My kids love to use different colors to make “Colorful Words” in their writing stories. We can also use these markers to illustrate their stories. My kids enjoy writing stories about everyday life and activities that occur in their lives. Some of my students also use a computer to type their stories. After writing their stories we print them in order for them to illustrate them. These tools keep us on task in kindergarten.
