Colorful Note Taking En Español

Help me give my students art supplies to creatively express themselves and take SketchNotes in their Spanish classes.

My Project

During the pandemic, students were restricted to taking notes digitally, or were given notes in the form of slideshows. As we returned to the classroom last year, many students turned to sketching, doodling, and art to express themselves and make their notes meaningful. In my Spanish classroom, students were encouraged to use the SketchNotes techniques. This form of note taking encourages sketches, pictures, and playful handwriting so the students can make the notes interactive and meaningful to them.

My students have requested more opportunities to take colorful notes, and explore SketchNotes in order to deepen their understanding of Spanish vocabulary and expression.

Most of the students in my classroom already speak another language at home, and this activity has made Spanish more meaningful. My students are passionate and resilient, and care deeply about learning. Our school serves a humble, low-income population, with most students receiving free lunch. They cannot provide their own coloring materials for class, please help me provide the Post-it easel pads, construction paper, & colored pencils for them.
